LISV is developing its multidisciplinary research activities, theoretical as well as experimental, mainly around mechanical design, control theory, the understanding of phenomena such as locomotion, manipulation, ontology and control theory for the IR team (Interactive Robotics) . It is also working around the characterisation of the systems’ performance which begin with the modelisation of the components performance in order to apprehend the role of the environmental factors, and then, instrumentation and metrology of  components or the system to confirm its performance.

The main fields of applications are robotics, cobotics, mechatronics, assistance to people and mobility, embedded systems, autonomous vehicles, sensors and information transmission.

LISV also has numerous valuation activities (prototypes, patents, software, 3 startups that emerged in the last years).
